When the first industrial robot appeared in the early 1960s, Denso recognized the advantages of this new technology and began introducing it into its own production processes. Since then, Denso has developed various robots, accumulating much experience along the way, and now more than 90,000 Denso robots are being used all over the world.
Denso has today established itself as a market leader in small-size industrial robots for assembly processes and its robots have continued leading the industry in reliability, flexibility, and functionality.

1.Birth
Denso robots offer world-leading quality, backed by technologies and expertise that Denso has cultivated over a long history from its many achievements. Denso first began developing robot arms in 1967, with 2017 marking the 50-year milestone. 3.Track record of Denso robots
Denso robots, based on Denso’s reliable technical strengths seen by its excellent track record, can be used for diverse purposes. Furthermore, they offer great versatility and flexibility and help automate tasks in the electrical machinery, electronics, food, healthcare, and many other fields. In 1999, the cumulative number of robots that had been introduced internally exceeded 10,000 and today is close to 17,000. Since the development of Denso robots began in order to meet its in-house needs, they are initially used at in-house facilities, and after proving themselves ready, are put on the market. For this reason, Denso robots are continually reliable and have a wide range of applications.
