One thing is for sure: systems and applications are becoming increasingly important at VISION 2009, alongside machine vision components. How the distance between axles is measured using ultra-fast cameras and intelligent software, how scratches on the paint are detected or rear-end shapes are inspected in the auto-mobile industry, how fill level and hygiene controls in the foodstuffs industry are carried out, which fields of application exist in environmental protection, logistics, biometry and other sectors – Experience it all at VISION 2009!
DENSO Robotics will participate in the VISION 2009 at:*
1)Application Park Hall 4, Stand A75; DENSO and its partner NI (National Instruments) will present a very interesting robot-vision system that will show how DENSO robots can be used for measurement, control, automation and image processing applications.
2)National Instruments, Hall 4, Stand B73; DENSO and its partner NI will demonstrate how easy and advantageous is to operate DENSO robots by NI’s software LabVIEW (graphical programming software). In this application a DENSO robot supported by a camera will solve the worldwide-known “Rubik’s Cube”.
3)SICK AG, Hall 4, Stand B71; the company SICK (worldwide-known manufacturer of sensors for the automation industry) will show a vision recognition system that by means of a special software allows the identification and handling of very small pieces with high precision. The system includes a new SICK 3D Scanner with integrated camera and a DENSO robot.
4)MVTec GmbH, Hall 4, Stand C55; the company MVTec (German company from Munich) developer of the worldwide-used industrial image processing software HALCON, will show a 3D position detection system combined with a DENSO robot and a camera, that by means of MVTec’s software HALCON it will be possible for DENSO robots to identify and handle the position of objects within an unsorted set of items (to fulfil this task it was necessary to develop a HALCON “extension library” specially for DENSO robots. This development allows the combination of vision and robotics).
5)Baumer, Hall 4, Stand D25; “Power over Ethernet”: under this slogan the company BAUMER (supplier of solutions for electronic image processing) will show a DENSO robot with a Gigabit Ethernet Digital Camera and the benefits of combining these devices, particularly for inspection tasks.
