DENSO Europe B.V. (Robotics Department) will be present in the Application Park, Hall 7, Stand 381 together with the company National Instruments (NI). Both companies will show how easy is the implementation of DENSO robots for measurement, control and automation applications. This will be achieved by using NI’s graphical programming system LabVIEW, which independently of the operation system platform, reduces the effort of programming DENSO robots.
The demonstration will consist in an application developed by DENSO’s engineers, in which a DENSO robot tests switches and buttons, among others, of a navigation system. In order to carry out this task it was necessary to employ a torque force sensor and a camera that deliver information to the robot. The sensor measures the force and torque during the robot’s arm movement while testing switches or buttons, and at the same time sends this data to a PC that works as measurement device, where the current positions and data are saved and prepared for evaluation. It is also possible to adapt this application to a wide variety of switches and to different implementations.
