About Activation of Application Software

This section explains how to activate some application software of Denso Robot after downloading it and how to deactivate and use it on a new computer.

Process for using application software

If you have newly installed or updated the version of some application software, in addition to entering the license key into the License Manager, you will need to issue an activation key on the DENSO WAVE website and activate with that activation key.
A single license is provided for a single PC.
 

Keys required for installation and activation

  1. 1.License key:A key indicating the license shown on the license card
  2. 2.Unique key:A key created from "License key + PC eigenvalue"
  3. 3.Activation key:A key to activate the product on the installation PC
 
 


 

How to Install and Activate the Application Software

<Activation process>
  (1) Install application software to use
  (2) Issue unique key
  (3) Issue activation key
  (4) Perform activation


Follow the procedure below to perform activation.
(1) Install application software
Step.1
Launch the installer.
When the product is inserted into the CD-ROM drive of the PC, the setup window is automatically displayed.
When installing the product from a file downloaded from our website, start "Setup.exe" in the folder.
Click the "Install" button, read all the terms of the license agreement, select "I accept all the terms of the license agreement", and click the "Next" button.













 
Step.2
The "License Manager" window is displayed.
Click the "Add" button, enter the "License Key" printed on the license card included with the product in the displayed "License key" input field, and click the "OK" button.
Following the instructions on the window, click the "Install" button to install the application software. 

(2) Issue unique key
Step.1
Start License Manager from the Start menu on the PC.
* Operating path:
[All Programs] >[DENSO ROBOTICS]>[License Manager]
Select the application software you intend to activate from the menu on the left and click "Add/Remove License".

 

 
Step.2
The "License Information" window is displayed.
Select the license key you intend to activate and click the "Activate" button.

The "Activation" window is displayed.
Take note of the license key and unique key, as they will be required later.


 

(3) Issue activation key
Step.1
Go to the DENSO WAVE website and log in.
https://www.denso-wave.com/en/robot/login/

* If you don’t have DENSO ROBOT MEMBER login ID, click the "New member reg." button to register as a member.

Click "Activation" from the "Member Menu".


 
Step.2
Select "Click to activate" toward the top of the "Activation" page, and then use the entry form to enter the license key and unique key from "(2) Issue identification key" in the previous section.

Confirm the information entered and then click "Send." An activation key will be issued, so be sure to take note of it.
* If you close the screen before taking note of the activation key, restart the procedure from Step 2 of "(3) Issue activation key."

(4) Perform activation
Step.1
Enter the activation key in the License Manager "Activation" window and click the "Register" button.
The message "Successful" is displayed and activation is complete.



 

Deactivation procedure (to transfer software to a different PC)

In order to transfer the software to a new PC, the current activation must be canceled (deactivated).

<Deactivation process>
  (1) Uninstall software from original PC
  (2) Issue deactivation key
  (3) Perform deactivation


Follow the procedure below to perform deactivation.
(1) Uninstall application software
Step.1
Uninstall the software from the original PC.
* Select the software to uninstall (for example, WINCAPSIII) from "Settings > Apps > Apps & features," and then press the Uninstall button.

* If the software cannot be uninstalled due to the original PC not working or having been discarded

(2) Issue deactivation key
Step.1
After uninstalling the software, start License Manager and display the "License information" dialog box.
Select "All Programs > DENSO ROBOTICS > License Manager

 
Step.2
Select the license key to deactivate and then click the "Deactivate" button. A dialog box is displayed. Click "Issue Key."
※If the "Deactivate" button does not appear, License Manager may not be the latest version.
   Please contact our support center.
 
Step.3
Confirm the details in the pop-up window and then click OK. The license key, activation key, and deactivation key will be displayed in the dialog box, so be sure to take note of all three keys.
* These key information are saved as a text file and can be viewed by clicking the "Log Folder" button.

(3) Perform deactivation
Step.1
Go to the DENSO WAVE website and log in.
https://www.denso-wave.com/en/robot/login/
* If you don’t have DENSO ROBOT MEMBER login ID, click the "New member reg." button to register as a member.

Click "Activation" from the "Member Menu".
Step.2
Select "Click to deactivate" toward the top of the "Activation" page, and then use the entry form to enter the three keys (license key, activation key, and deactivation key) from "(2) Issue deactivation key" in the previous section.
* Each of the keys shown in the deactivation dialog box can be copied by right-clicking and then pasting in the form.

Confirm the information entered and then click "Send." Deactivation is complete.

Software transfer procedure

Once deactivation has been completed, install and activate the application software on the new PC.

* If the software cannot be uninstalled due to the original PC not working or having been discarded

FAQ


I don't know the activation key I issued. Please tell me how to check. The activation key can be verified by re-entering the license key and identification key on the "Activation" screen of DENSO WAVE website. If you receive the error "An activation key has already been issued," you have entered a different identification key than when the activation key was issued.

Can I use my activatable software license on multiple PCs? The form of software to be activated is 1 license - 1 PC. One license can not be used on more than one computer. If you change your PC, you must deactivate the original PC and reactivate it on the new PC.

How do I get an activation key? An activation key is issued by entering your license key and the Unique key of your personal computer on the DENSO ROBOT MEMBER menu "Activation" screen of our company website.

What is an Unique key? A 12 digit alphanumeric key generated from a license key and a unique value on your computer. Different computers have different keys for the same license key. You can check it in the License Manager on your computer.
Please refer to here for how to check the Unique key.

On the License Manager, the last four digits of the license key are "****" and I do not know the license key. In the License Manager, select your license key and click the "Activate" button on the right side of the screen to display all digits.

Your activation grace period (30 days) has expired and you are now on trial. How do I go back to the production version? Once activated, you will be returned to the production version. It can be done even after the grace period.
How to Activation

I get an error when I try to activate. What should I do?
If an error occurs when registering a license key/an unique key on the website, please refer to the following:

1.If you get the error "There is an error in the entry. Please confirm."
・Check the license key/the Unique key for errors.
・If not, send an email to fa-contact@denso-wave.com

2.If you get the error "An activation key has already been issued."
・An activation key has already been issued with the same license key. (Another identification key is tied to the same license key.) Possible causes include:
a. You try to transfer the software to another computer to use it.
b. If you reset the operating system of your computer.
c. If you made a mistake in the identification key when you issued the activation key and tried to activate it again.
d. Another PC is activated with the same license key.
In either case, you must deactivate your current activation state and then reactivate. Contact our company office to cancel the activation. In the case of d above, as a general rule, we will only accept requests to cancel the service from those currently using it.

3.When you try to register the issued activation key in the License Manager, you get an error "Invalid activation key."
・The wrong Unique key may have been entered when registering on the website, and an invalid activation key may have been issued. In this case, the activation status will need to be deactivated, so please contact our company office.
